How to set up your Blackberry email accounts
Click on the the orange website amena.blackberry.com/
Click on the “crear nueva cuenta” button.
You will now be asked to accept the terms and conditions, click “acepto”. If you do not accept, you cannot continue.
Type in the PIN number and the IMEI number for your blackberry. These can be found on your contract, or on the Blackberry box.
After you have entered this information, click “enviar”.
On the following page, it will ask you to:
Choose a user-ID. This user-ID will also be used as your e-mail address: userID@amena.blackberry.com
e.g FredBright@amena.blackberry.com
Choose a name. e.g FredBright This name will be shown when other people receive a mail from you.
Choose a password “contraseña”, of 4-8 characters.
Your account will be created, and shortly thereafter you will receive a welcoming message on your Blackberry.
Click on the button “listo” to finish.
Go back to the log-in page amena.blackberry.com (if you are not automatically re-directed). Enter your user-ID and password and click on “inicio de session”.
On the following page, choose the last option “cuenta de correo”.
On the following page, you will be able to add the e-mail accounts you want sent to the Blackberry. In order to do so, click on “agregar cuenta”.
Direccion de correo electronico: Type in your full e-mail address eg. FredBright@hotmail.com
Nombre de usuario: Type in your user-ID e.g FredBright, for your Blackberry account
Contraseño: Type in your password for your Blackberry account
Vuelve a introducir la contraseño: Repeat your password
Click “enviar” to continue.
The e-mail account should now appear in the box “cuentas de correo” on your Blackberry. If not, the system will tell you that you have done something wrong. Go back, and fill in the information again.
It might happen that the system cannot add the account. In that case, you will be re-directed to a web page with the explanation: “No se ha podido configurar este buzon”.
In that case, choose the option how you normally receive your mail, and click on “enviar”.
The e-mail account should now appear in the box “cuentas de correo”. If not, the system will tell you that you have done something wrong. Go back, and fill in all the information again.
You can add up to 10 e-mail accounts, following the same procedure for each.
Every time you receive an e-mail to any of the added accounts, you will receive that e-mail in your account userID@amena.blackberry.com as well as in your Blackberry device.
