SMSs

Why have you charged me two SMS that have a same time stamp or nearly the same?

When you send a SMS that is longer than 160 characters you will be charged one SMS for each 160 character or part thereof. Some phones allow you to send one long SMS that is actually 3 SMSs and these are charged as three separate SMSs. They will also have the same or nearly the same timestamp.

I don't recognise a number I'm supposed to have sent SMSs to when I was roaming. What is it?

When you are roaming the SMS is broken into two parts and charged separately. These parts appear as two line items on the bill. Normally the first leg of the SMS journey is from abroad into Spain. This goes to the provider’s SMS Gateway, which is 656000111. From there it is onward delivered to the recipient and their number is shown in the ‘Number Dialled’ field.
