How to set up your Answering machine

To activate your answering machine, simply call 242 - Press 2

To de-activate your answering machine, simply call 242 - Press 3

To change the language of your answering machine, simply call 242 - Press 4 - Press 1 - Press 8 - Press 1 (for Spanish) OR press 2 (for Catalan) OR press 3 (for Basque) OR press 4 (for Galician) OR press 5 (for English). Then press #.

If you want to be able to listen to your voicemail messages when you are abroad, make sure you know the access code before leaving the country. You can set your access code while still in Spain by calling your voicemail service on 242 and following the prompted menu. Then to access your voicemail from abroad, call +34 656 242 242 from any phone, and then enter your mobile phone number and enter your access code.

Does it cost anything to call my voicemail?

No it does not cost you anything to call you voicemail, if you are in Spain. If you are roaming there maybe a charge.

My voicemail picks up very quickly before I answer to call, can I change that?

Sure you can. The voicemail can pick up after 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds. In order to set the time for the voicemail, just press the following buttons on the phone:

**61*242**(number of seconds)#Call Button

You do not need to call anywhere first. For (number of seconds) you need to put the amount of seconds in which you would like the phone to ring before the voicemail answers. If for example you would like the phone to ring for 20 seconds, the code would be:

**61*242**20#Call Button

Can I access my voicemail from a fixed phone?

Yes you can!

Use any landline phone and call  (+34) 656 242 242.

Enter your mobile phonenumber.

Enter your password (if you have not changed this, it's 1111.  If this does not work, let us know and we will reset the password to 1111).

A voice will now tell you how many new messages you have, and they will automatically be played.
